L-Gante, the popular Cumbia 420 artist, was acquitted of illegal detention charges but received a suspended sentence of three years. His attorneys plan to appeal the decision. The case drew significant attention due to the artist's nearly 100-day detention.

Torres' advisor noted that the sentence for illegal deprivation of liberty in the L-Gante case is still pending, adding that they had requested harsher penalties. However, he assured that this does not halt the process and that they will appeal the artist's acquittal based on a ruling by the Appeals Chamber confirming the existence of the crime.

The complaint originated from neighbors in General Rodríguez, which led to the singer's detention for almost 100 days. The lawsuit, represented by the lawyers of several plaintiffs, had requested eight and three years in prison for L-Gante, while the prosecution requested seven years. After the verdict, the artist expressed his desire to prove his innocence, mentioning that the process is not yet finished.

On the other hand, the representative of Darío Torres, one of L-Gante's accusers, celebrated Elián Valenzuela's sentence to three years of suspended prison. Although they will appeal the singer's acquittal in the illegal deprivation of liberty case. In statements to the press, lawyer Pablo Becerra considered they have achieved a victory by obtaining the conviction of one of the most prominent artists at the moment.
